On August 14th, the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between our school and the 9th Geological Brigade of Hebei Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources was held in Conference Room 103 of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. Li Guanghong, captain of the 9th Geological Brigade of Hebei Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, Feng Sheng, secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Min, Xu Yaohan, Ma Guangwei, deputy captains, Yuan Haibo, chief engineer, Wang Weizhe, office director, Jia Yunxiao, secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and Cai Zhenyu, president, attended the signing ceremony. The leaders of the Party Committee Office, President's Office, Propaganda Department, Academic Affairs Office, Research Office, School of Resources and Environment, School of Fine Arts and Design, and teacher representatives attended the signing ceremony. Li Guanghong stated that Xingtai University, as a comprehensive higher education institution in our city, has always adhered to serving the local economic and social development as its own responsibility in recent years, focusing on cultivating innovative and applied talents in society. It has achieved remarkable results in promoting the deep integration of industry and education and helping our city achieve high-quality development. Since its establishment, Geological Team 9 has rooted itself in the land of Xingxiang, actively integrated into the overall development of the city, focused on the fundamental, strategic, and public welfare basic positioning and value role of geological work, and actively contributed geological wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of regional economy and society. We hope to take this signing as an opportunity to leverage the advantages of both parties in talent, scientific research, and production practice, create an innovative cooperation model of "geology+university", establish a pragmatic cooperation system that deeply integrates industry, academia, research, and application, and create a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win.
Jia Yunxiao stated that Xingtai University has a long history of education, profound cultural heritage, solid educational foundation, and obvious educational characteristics. In recent years, our university has adhered to the overall work concept of "1369", focused on the goal of building a high-level applied university in the new era, and actively served local economic and social development with the educational philosophy of "small-scale, high-level, and distinctive", achieving significant results. The 9th Geological Brigade of Hebei Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources has obvious advantages and remarkable achievements in geological exploration, resource investigation and other fields, providing solid geological support for local economic and social development. It is hoped that the two sides will give full play to their own advantages and make all-round cooperation in resources and environment, water ecological environment, geographical information, popular science education, "Xingbai Porcelain" material research, "Taihang Rock Color" promotion and application and other fields, so as to contribute to writing the chapter of Chinese path to modernization in Hebei.
At the signing ceremony, Cai Zhenyu and Li Guanghong signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Subsequently, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on cooperation matters such as co building the base, sharing of teaching staff, and scientific research and development.

Before the signing ceremony, Li Guanghong and his delegation visited the former site of our school's Fourth Division, the Memorial Hall of Northern University, the Guo Shoujing Science and Technology Museum, Liuxiquan and other places.
