On August 6th, the Selenium Peptide Wine Industry Development Seminar and Hebei Province Key R&D Program Achievement Transformation Conference, hosted by the School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and the Research Department of our university, was held in Conference Room 102 of our university's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. Zhu Zhenling, Director of the Planning Department of the Economic Committee of the China Development Strategy Research Association and Vice President of the Hebei Health Industry Association, Li Chun, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei Green Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance, Zhao Hao, Secretary General of the Intellectual Property Special Committee of the Hebei Science and Technology Small and Medium sized Enterprises Association, Yi Pingping, Deputy Secretary General of the Hebei E-commerce Association, Guo Tianlin, Secretary of the Qiannanyu Party Committee, Jin Zhichang, Deputy Director of the Forestry Bureau of Xindu District, Xingtai City, Gao Peng, President of the Xingtai E-commerce Association and Deputy Secretary General of the Xingtai Municipal Committee of the China Democratic Construction Association, and others attended the seminar. Zhao Baohua, Assistant to the President and Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Dong Lili, Director of the Research Department, and key teachers from the School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology attended the seminar.
The conference focused on the key research and development project of our university in Hebei Province, including the development of photosynthetic bacteria bio organic selenium fertilizer and the integration and demonstration of selenium rich golden sunflower series products. The conference discussed and exchanged the results of the transformation of the product "selenium peptide wine" industry standard construction, brand upgrading, market development and consumption prospects, and the integration of industry, academia and research, exploring how new quality productivity can help the selenium peptide industry achieve high-quality development. This marks the entry of our city's selenium peptide industry into a new stage driven by technology.
At the meeting, Guo Tianlin and Professor Zhu Xiumin from the School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology of our university respectively represented Xingtai Qiannanyu Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. to sign a cooperation and co construction agreement with the Nutrition and Food Safety Research Center of our university, jointly establishing the "Taihang Chestnut Food Research Institute".
Guo Tianlin stated that this cooperation is the result of the symposium held between Xingtai University and Qiannanyu Village in March this year, and it is also a crucial step in using technological power to turn Taihang Mountain chestnuts into rich and healthy fruits for the people. The selenium peptide functional agriculture doctoral innovation station established by Xingtai University in Qiannanyu will create huge benefits for the deep processing of organic chestnuts in Qiannanyu and inject new momentum into the sustainable development of the Taihang Mountains green economic belt.
Jin Zhichang stated that in recent years, Xindu District has relied on the ecological advantages of Taihang Mountains and promoted the integration of the three industries of "chestnut+deep processing+cultural tourism" based on standardized planting of selenium rich chestnuts. Through the "enterprise+doctoral innovation station+farmers" model, scientific and technological achievements have been transformed into practical benefits for farmers. With the technical support of Xingtai University, we hope to jointly build a selenium rich industry ecological chain that integrates standard setting, technology promotion, and brand building, and help Xindu District's tourism industry and rural revitalization strategy deepen and become more practical.
Zhao Baohua said that in recent years, the school has adhered to the overall working idea of "one, three, six, nine", took the "three alliances" and "three docking" as the starting point, played our advantages in scientific research and excellent teachers, actively matched the needs of regional industries in our city, carried out deep integration with local governments, key enterprises and scientific research institutes, and made remarkable achievements in food science, biotechnology, modern agriculture and other fields. The launch of this event is a vivid practice of our university to promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research and application, demonstrating the responsibility of universities to serve local industrial upgrading.
During the conference, the attending guests visited Liuxiquan, Huaxing Design College, Natural Science Museum, and Science and Technology Museum of Xingtai University, and conducted on-site inspections of research platforms such as Xingtai University's Analysis and Testing Center, Hebei Sweet Potato Breeding and Application Technology Innovation Center, and Hebei Province's "Xing Zaoren" Utilization Technology Innovation Center.
The convening of this conference has further strengthened the cooperative relationship between our school, local governments, and enterprises, providing a new paradigm for the implementation of the "Healthy China" and "Rural Revitalization" strategies. The school will take this as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with research institutions and enterprises, gather forces in industry standard system construction, technological innovation iteration, consumer market cultivation, brand shaping and promotion, and jointly explore effective ways to empower traditional industry upgrading with new quality productivity, and contribute more strength to the development of green and health industries in Xingtai and even Hebei.
